Pairing A Bluetooth Cell Phone Headset To A Mobile Phone

If you're looking to pair a Bluetooth cell phone headset to a mobile phone, there's no need to worry about any difficulty. Here's a step by step guide to setting it up with ease.

Setting up Bluetooth makes talking that much easier and even more fun, as you simply have a small and barely noticeable headset that allows you to experience full high quality voice and sound transmissions.  Just imagine completing your daily commute and being able to talk all you want without having to hold the phone up to your ear.  Or just how much more convenient it is driving with a small and unobtrusive headset, instead of having to use speaker phone or something else of the like.  But of course that also means that you have to know how to pair your new cell phone headset to your phone itself.

Because Bluetooth is transmitted via a wireless radio signal, you’ll find that it means you have to establish a connection between the headset and your phone.  This way, you can actually both get the headset to work, but then you can also ensure that your cell phone headset is going to be able to maintain a strong and uninterruptible signal like Bluetooth is famous for providing.  Plus pairing is fairly easy once you know what to do, and here are all the steps you’ll need to get your phone working in a flash:

1) First off, make sure that your phone even supports Bluetooth.

In most cases, a Verizon cell phone headset that supports Bluetooth is going to be pretty costly, so it’s important you know if your phone can even use the tech, before going out and buying something.  This is pretty easy to check in one of three ways, either look at the phone manual which will provide you with the info as to whether or not Bluetooth is a supported format.  Or you want to actually look in your phone’s settings for establishing a wireless device.  But you can also Google the model of phone that you have, with Bluetooth, to see if it’s actually compatible as well.

2) From there, you want to buy a good headset.

That means you want to buy one that’s convenient enough for you to talk on, and of a style that makes you comfortable.  The most common format are the really small headsets that are almost nonexistent when in use, and that will have people thinking you’re a crazy person just talking to themselves.  But if you want to avoid this, you can also buy those that feature longer microphones, so it’s that much more obvious you’re wearing a headset.

You’ll also find that different types of cell phone Bluetooth headset’s have all sorts of controls associated with them at the same time.  With the right set, you can be sure that you’re able to control calling, answering and disconnecting, as well as just about anything else right from the set, so your phone can just stay in your pocket.

3) Now you’re ready to start pairing the headset.

The first thing to do is ensure that the set you buy gets a full charge before you begin using, so you want to ensure that you allow it to charge right out of the box for a few hours before attempting anything.  This way, you can be sure the battery is fully ready to go, and that you’re going to be in business once you get the phone paired with your mobile device.

From there, you want to hold the phone’s signal pairing button, which is usually around the power button. This will cause your phone to search for a Bluetooth signal, that it can connect and effectively pair with.  Simultaneously, while the cell phone headset is searching for Bluetooth waves, you want to go into your phone’s settings and select Bluetooth on the screen.  This way, the phone will send out an accompanying signal, so that the two can join and you’ll be able to access the phone through the headset.

4) Typing in your pairing code.

In most cases, you’re also going to have to type in a code so that you can finish pairing the signal to ensure access for your Bluetooth handset with the phone itself.  That means you need to usually type in the default code which is most typically a set of four or five zeroes, usually entered as “0000”.  But of course refer to the manual to see if you’re supposed to use a different code, other than what’s widely considered to be the standard for pairing a device the first time.   Once the code is entered, you should be good to go with your new headset.
