Picking a cell phone really is not an easy task, because there are so many different types out there finding a model that you really like can be extremely difficult. That’s why you want to look into the feature set that’s available, as well as the common complaints that users have had that come with the phone.  It’s important to get both sides of the story before you make a decision, so that you can be sure that this is really the type of phone that you want to spend your money on.  That’s especially true with a Motorola Razor cell phone.

These are basically great types of cell phones for the standard user, and will provide you with about everything that you need for regular phone use.  However, you will find that there are some limitations that can make or break this model for your specific needs.  Here are some of the most common pros and cons you’re going to find with just about any type of Razr out there on the market:

First up, the pros:

-Ridiculously quick and easy setup.

The Motorola Razr cell phone is known for being one of the easiest as well as quickest to be able to set up.  That’s because they are practically ready to go right out of the box, and only take a quick few moments for you to get connected, and then you’re going to be ready to go.

-Fantastic clarity of voice transmission during calls.

While it can have more to do with your provider than the phone, no matter what type of network you’re on, you can expect the Razor cell phone to be one of the clearest talking experiences that you can find just about anywhere.

-Despite being a more simple phone, there are plenty of great features.

Whether you want to add Verizon’s Vcast to your phone, or if you want to add some email apps, and anything else of the like to make your life more convenient, the Razr has you covered.  There are plenty of additions that you can make to your phone, to get just the type of software feature set that is going to make all the difference in your life.

-Legendary battery life.

Because of the Motorola Razr’s small size, you can count on it really lasting a long time, no matter how often you use your phone.  Whether you need to talk to someone for hours, or if you just want to keep up on texts when you’re going to be away from home for a few days, there’s really no worry of your phone going dead at any time.

But of course, there are also some cons you have to be prepared for:

-The phone is deceptively wide.

While many rave about how great and conveniently thin the Razor cell phone actually is, because of it’s super sleek folding design, not many people mention how wide the phone is. You’ll find that it can be a bit uncomfortable in your pocket, and carrying around easily is a bit harder because of this.

-They can be a little fragile.

Another common compliant of the Motorola Razr cell phone design is that it can be a bit fragile.  Because of that super sleek design, you’re going to find that one good drop is going to snap your phone right in half, so it’s important you’re really careful when using.  That means always ensuring you have a really good grip before sending a text, or casually talking while you’re walking.

-Most applications cost extra.

The Motorola Razr unfortunately does not come preloaded with that many applications, so the use of many features is going to cost you a lot extra. For example, adding something like Vcast to your lineup can cost you an extra $15 on top of the bill you already pay.  For that reason, it might not be the best if you’re all about the added features, and you may be better pressed going with an iPhone or other similar type of phone that’s more about the applications.  Otherwise you’re going to find that you can feel a bit disappointed with the selection offered by Razor cell phones, because they are more traditional phones after all.
