6 Things To Consider When Buying A Blackberry Screen Protector

There are many Blackberry screen protectors on the market, but not all of them have the following six qualities. Make sure that yours does.

With smartphones you need to buy some sort of great protection for the screen that you’re using on a daily basis, because you’re going to find they can suffer a lot of wear and tear.  If you’ve ever had an old cell phone before, you’ll discover that the more and more you’re using them, putting them in pockets, or setting them atop random table surfaces, the more scratches and damage that become more evident on the surface.  The same is true of something like a modern Smartphone, but the damage to the screen can be more severe.  That’s why it’s essential you invest in Blackberry screen protectors.

What these are going to do is protect your screen from the normal everyday types of damage that can occur.  That means you’re going to be able to avoid things like scratches as well as nicks or smudges that would occur otherwise.  This is a necessity so that you can preserve the good health of your phone, and can even help your resale value if you plan on selling or recycling the phone when it comes time to upgrade.

However, selecting the right type of Blackberry screen protector is not going to be so straightforward as you may think.  Something that you’re going to find with these types of phones is that they come in all different models, and there are several different types of protectors out there.  You have to choose the sort that’s going to get the job done for you, and that means having a few standards in mind:

1) Always find the right protector to match your phone model.

Whether you need a Blackberry Bold screen protector, or if you need something like those for the Storm, 8830 or anything else of the like, you have to find a protector that’s made for your phone.  That’s  because screens come in all different sizes depending upon what model of phone you have, you need to be sure that both match up or it’s just not going to work.

2) What type of protection do you need?

This is important, because there are different thicknesses.  There are the massive screen protectors which are going to provide structural as well as surface protection.  Or you can also go with just a thin small film that will only provide you with a bit of structural protection.

3) Be careful when buying for touch screens.

You don’t want to go with just any Blackberry Storm screen protector, but rather you want something that enhances the touch sensing ability of your phone.  Otherwise, the wrong one can leave the phone less responsive, and that’s going to really frustrate you down the line. So always shop carefully, and that’s a good idea no matter which type of phone you’re actually using.

4) Make sure you have protection for a business phone.

Just as there are laptop protectors that enable you to cut down on anybody being able to read your screen when they’re off to one side, there are also the same types of additions for your phones.  This way, when you’re sending business messages, or looking at important business information, you can ensure that only you see your phone.  Anybody trying to look in your direction will see just a black screen.

5) Do you want to go reusable/removable or permanent?

This can be a major factor in the type of Blackberry screen protector that you have, as it affects the overall quality and what you can expect.  A permanent protector is usually a lot thicker, and will actually have to be adhered to the surface using a polymer.  But a removable type usually features it’s own adhesive, and can be placed and then removed.  However, they are a lot more thin and do not offer the same type of protection in terms of actually guarding your phone.

6) Make sure you go with a quality brand.

This way, you can be sure that your Blackberry screen protector was actually developed to work with your phone to give you the quality that you need.  What you’re going to find is that there are several different brands out there, but the best include Accessory Export, Universal and Research in Motion.
